Dulcita's House!

The new addition is to the right.............. looks very nice!!!

Opposite view......  why is ceiling so high?

This is the front of the house - they build their houses in 1/4 's; so this is the first 1/4. The addition is the second 1/4. In the future they hope to build another 1/4 to the left and then the final 1/4 which would extend the new addition to the left. Note - the only window in the house is in the new addition; this is because they can not afford windows, but also to keep the dust and dirt and sun and heat out of the house.

They sent along this photo of a farmer cultivating his new crop of corn. Please show it to your father - I am sure that in his youth he saw the very same thing. I can remember my uncle doing this up north when I was about eight years old - that would have been 1949 - and you were probably about  -18 years old!!!!

Note farmer has long sleeve shirt and neckerchief to protect himself from sun and dust!
